Comfortable accommodation in 6 cosy bedrooms - five with en suite facilities and one room with its own private but separate bathroom. Most rooms have lake views - and one overlooks the woodland at the back of the house. (You may be lucky enough to see the deer)

A freshly cooked and hearty breakfast served in our dining room that overlooks the lake. Choose from fresh fruit, fresh juices, a range of cereals followed by Cumberland sausage, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms and as much toast and homemade jam and marmalade that you can eat. Be warned the helpings are generous. We cater for vegetarian and special diets too - but it is really helpful if we know of these in advance.

A large lounge with roaring log fire - even on summer evenings it is nice to relax in front of the fire after a busy day. We have plenty of games, maps and books for you to borrow.

An ideal centre for exploring the area either by car or on foot - There is spectacular walking from our doorstep - anything from a low level stroll around the lake to high level ridge walks on the local fells.

Drying facilities - we are walkers too and we know how important this is - and yes it does sometimes rain in the Lake District!

Biking and Canoeing - if you like an adventurous holiday we have canoes on the lake that you may borrow plus secure garaging for mountain bikes. Martin swims across the lake every morning - you are invited to join him! (Perhaps we should add that not many take up on this offer!)

Fishing available from our private lakeshore
Photography and Painting - this is a beautiful area especially in spring when the bluebells are in flower and later in the year when the autumn colours are at their best.
Parking - plus access to the house at all times
Please note this is non smoking accommodation - thank you

*important note* For every booking we donate a £1.00 to
the Cystic Fibrosis Trust
